  • Added support for revised Go!Motion and CBR 2 connected via USB.
  • Adjusted Battery and AC power management profiles to keep the LabQuest 3 screen on longer before dimming or turning off.
  • New Always On power profile has been added.

Significant Defect Resolutions

  • Reduced the maximum gain of the internal speaker to minimize the risk of damage to the internal speaker from sounds created using the Audio Function Generator app.
  • Fixed issue with mutually exclusive GDX sensor channels that incorrectly allowed the sensor channels to be used simultaneously.
  • Addressed issue that caused the LabQuest App to crash when a Go Direct SpectroVis Plus with the battery installed was connected to the LabQuest via USB connection.
  • Resolved issue that caused the LabQuest App to crash when switching screens during live data collection with a Go Direct SpectroVis Plus.
  • Addressed issue where manually set time and date would get changed when LabQuest was rebooted.

Known Issues

LabQuest App

  • Shading of the selected data on the graph is not synchronized with the shading of points in the data table.
  • Data struck from the table are not shown to have been removed from the graph when you switch views. Rescaling the graph fixes the issue.
  • Beer’s law experiments can report 0 absorbance for the first kept data point. Additional points kept are recorded as expected.

Sensor Issues

  • Sensors of different types (BTA/BTD, USB, or GDX) or sensors connected to LabQuest in different ways (USB or wireless) can have measurements reported with different timestamps (lag).
  • Go Direct Blood Pressure data collection must be stopped manually.

Issues with Other Applications

  • Camera App
    • The Camera App can search for and not find certain connected cameras.
  • Connections App (Networking)
    • The list of available networks does not populate when you are already connected to a network. Turn Wi-Fi off then back on to force the list to populate.
  • LabQuest Viewer
    • Connecting to LabQuest Viewer® can require you to remove a remembered device and then add it back in order to successfully connect to the device.
  • Logger Pro® 3 and Vernier Graphical Analysis®
    • The double-arrows screen does not dismiss from LabQuest if the LabQuest unit is suspended while a computer or Chromebookâ„¢ has control of the unit.
  • Periodic Table App
    • Scrolling a Periodic Table details dialog for an element can switch to showing the Home screen. Start the scroll further from the top of the screen.
  • Update App
    • Reset Settings—System defaults option does not reset the Audio app volume levels.
    • Reset Settings—User-created experiments option does not remove the experiments.

    Go Direct® Visible Spectrophotometer (connects via USB only)

Significant Defect Resolutions

  • An issue where a selected region on Graph 2 was not always respected has been resolved.
  • Experiments that collect more than 40 event-based points utilizing 10 second averaging are now supported.
  • An issue where the selected wavelength for Beer’s Law and Kinematics spectrophotometer experiments was not respected when identified from a full wavelength spectrum using the nudge tools has been resolved.

  • Units running version 3.0.5 cannot be backdated to run older versions of the application prior to version 3.0.4.

Significant Defect Resolutions

  • Issues are fixed related to time-based data collection when using time units other than seconds.
  • Localized language support was added for the keyboard Done button that shows up on some keyboard layouts.
  • An issue was addressed in which Go Direct Electrode Amplifier (used with pH and ORP electrodes) and Go Direct Ion Selective Electrode Amplifier (used with ISE electrodes) were not retaining the sensor channel configuration when changed using LabQuest 3.
  • The Run indicator button, , is now a fixed width.
  • Issues that prevented Blood Pressure sensors from displaying systolic and diastolic pressures in the plot details have been addressed.
  • Email support is improved for manually configured email clients.

  • LabQuest® 3 supports printing to IPP-enabled networked printers. (IPP = Internet Printing Protocol)
  • An outbound email service that supports data files sent via labquest@vernier.com has been added. This service can be used instead of a user email account; no email setup is required.
  • An ID has been added to the signature of LabQuest-generated emails for identification of the sending LabQuest.
  • Release notes are accessible from the update completed screen.
  • Language localization includes Vietnamese.
  • Version 3.0.4 Only

Significant Defect Resolutions

  • Data collection with multiple Go Direct sensors connected via Bluetooth® wireless technology has been improved.
  • Print-to-PDF graphs include data analysis available when the document is saved.
  • An issue has been resolved that reset the data-collection rate to 2 samples per second when initiating data collection from the Meter view after the first collection.
  • Data Matrix meters no longer update sensor readings displayed while the readings are locked.
  • The Audio Function Generator now uses both the right and left audio channels.
  • A device connected to the Audio port when LabQuest powers on is now detected.
  • An issue that prevented the selection of a model or calculated column expression when using LabQuest Viewer has been resolved.
  • DAQ calibrations for LabQuest units with DAQ serial numbers 20-45-xxxxxx or older are updated. (YY-WW-nnnnnn, YY = year and WW = week of that year)

New Features

  • Over-the-air updates are now supported when LabQuest® 3 has a live internet connection.
  • Language localization now includes Japanese and Thai.
  • The Keep button, , used for event-based data collection, now has a localized text label.

Significant Defect Resolutions

  • This version includes overall performance and stability improvements.
  • Go Direct sensors have improved performance when connected via Bluetooth® wireless technology:
    • Setting up multiple channels is faster.
    • The delay between tapping collect, , and obtaining the first data point has been reduced.
  • An issue has been resolved that prevented named USB flash drives from being discovered by LabQuest 3 when exporting a TXT file or when using the Print-to-File feature.
  • Email support for non-Gmail email clients is improved. (Gmailâ„¢ accounts are recommended.)
  • Issues related to using a LabQuest-hosted (ad hoc) network have been addressed.
