Texas Instruments provides free out of warranty repair for connector (I/O or link port) problems on graphing calculator and data collection devices that are up to three years old, if it is determined that the link port is broken. To receive a replacement, contact TI (1-800-TI-CARES) to make arrangements for the free replacement of the unit. Please note that the original unit will not be returned but will be replaced with a reconditioned unit.
If the link port is broken the likely symptom will be a “link transmission error” when trying to transfer programs or data. The physical symptoms of a broken link port are that the link cable will fit loosely into the link port and/or the plastic around the link port is missing or broken.
