If you need a motion detector that works with Texas Instruments calculators as well as computers and Chromebooks, you should purchase the following:
- CBR 2 (CBR2)
- Go!Motion to Computer Cable (GMC-USB)
The CBR 2 motion detector comes with the correct cables to connect to TI graphing calculators including TI-84 Plus CE and TI-Nspire handhelds. The Go Motion USB cable has a standard USB-A plug for connecting to a computer or Chromebook.1
Why not the other options?
- The option that includes a Go! Motion (GO-MOT) with Go!Motion to Calculator Mini-USB port (TI-GMUSB) USB cable is more expensive.
- The Go Direct® Motion Detector (GDX-MD) only works with TI-Nspire CX II and TI-Nspire CX II CAS handhelds and requires TI Bluetooth® Adapter (TI-CALC-BTADPT) and/or Data-Only Go Direct USB Cable. It is also a more expensive option.

- If your computer or Chromebook only has USB-C ports, a standard USB-A to USB-C adapter is also required. Vernier does not sell these adapters. ↩︎
