The main difference is hardware and software compatibility for each type of sensor. In addition, the older Go Wireless sensors connect via a wireless Bluetooth connection, whereas Go Direct Sensors connect via USB or Bluetooth.

Go Direct sensors also work with LabQuest 2 (version 2.9 or newer) and LabQuest 3. Some Go Direct sensors can be used with the DataQuest App on TI-Nspire and TI-Nspire CAS handhelds. Go Direct sensors do not work with Logger Pro.

Go Wireless Heart Rate Monitors

Go Wireless Heart Rate monitors are Bluetooth only devices. These sensors can connect to computers, Chromebooks, iOS & Android phones and tablets using Graphical Analysis and Graphical Analysis Pro.

These heart rate monitors also work with LabQuest 2 (version 2.6 or newer) and LabQuest 3. They do not work with Logger Pro.

Other Go Wireless Devices

Go Wireless sensors (and the Go Wireless Link) were originally designed for data collection on iPads and Android tablets. The supporting application is Graphical Analysis GW available from the App Store and Google Play.
