If a Dual Range Force Sensor or Wireless Dynamics Sensor (WDSS) hits the floor, it is possible to shear off the hex bolt inside the load cell.
Our repairs team can usually fix this by grabbing the part that is sticking out with a vice grip and giving it a turn to unscrew it. Depending on where the break is, this can be tricky. If you can not unscrew the hex shaft, let us know and we can have it come in for repairs. Note that this type of breakage falls under abuse and is not covered by warranty. If we can fix it, we will do it at no charge. If not, we will recycle the damaged unit.
If you are able to unscrew the broken hex shaft, you will need to replace it. Contact us to request one by mail.
