As of March 2025, all Vernier apps that run on Chromebooks are Progressive Web Apps (PWA). If you are still using the older Chrome packaged apps, you must switch to the PWA to receive updates. See Google has stopped supporting Chrome Packaged Apps for Chromebooks.
How will I know an update is available?
When an update to a Progressive Web App becomes available, the Other Options button, 
, is displayed with a red badge, 
. Your Chromebook must be connected to the internet to check for an update.
How do I apply the update?
Save any unsaved data, and make sure your Chromebook is connected to the internet. Click or tap Other Options, , choose Update Available…, and follow the onscreen prompts.

- Your Chromebook must be connected to the internet to check for and apply an update.
- Do not assume updates are automatically applied; check the Other Option menu to determine if an update is available.
- If you run the app in a browser, refreshing the browser window may also apply an available update.
