Two experiments that use Vernier ethanol sensors can be found on the web page for this sensor. Both experiments investigate fermentation and sugar metabolism using yeast. One exercise is written as a standard lab exercise. The second lab is written in an open inquiry format.

The inquiry-based activity can be used to complement Lab 10: Sugar Metabolism with Yeast found in Investigating Biology through Inquiry (BIO-I)
