All Vernier ethanol sensors need to warm up for 5 minutes before use. On first use, the ethanol sensor may need more than 5 minutes to warm up.
If the sensor is slow to warm up or respond you can do the following:
1 Expose the sensor to a dilute sample of ethanol (2-3%) for 5 minutes.
2. Remove the sensor from the sample and allow the sensor to return to baseline in air.
Your sensor should now warm up in 5 minutes or less the next time you use it.
