The LabQuest 2 battery icon changes appearance to reflect the state of the battery and whether or not LabQuest 2 is connected to AC power using the power adapter. The table below describes what different icons indicate.

The green background indicates that LabQuest 2 is running on battery power and has a charge of about 40% or more. In this case, approximately 60% of the charge remains. | |
The yellow background indicates that LabQuest 2 is running on battery power and is low on battery power; you should connect to AC power for long data-collection runs and to change the battery. In this case, the battery is charged to about 20%. | |
The red background indicates that LabQuest 2 is running on battery power and the battery is almost dead; connect to AC power to collect data and charge the battery. | |
The lightning symbol and blue background indicate that the battery is charging. The AC adapter is connected to AC power using the power adapter. In this case, the battery is charged to about 40%. | |
The lightning symbol on a red background indicates that there is a problem with the LabQuest 2 battery. (see My LabQuest 2 battery indicator is red, what does that mean?) |
