If the “Require Password” option is selected, LabQuest will always require a password when connecting to the LabQuest Viewer.
To remove the password challenge, do the following:
LabQuest 3
- Tap Settings > Connection App
- Tap the LabQuest Viewer icon, .
- Make sure the password box is unchecked.
- If it is unchecked, check it, change the password*, exit the dialog, then come back in, and then uncheck it.
- Then exit the dialog.
LabQuest 2
- Tap the Wi-Fi icon.
- Tap the gear next to LabQuest Viewer.
- Make sure the password box is unchecked.
- If it is unchecked, check it, change the password*, exit the dialog, then come back in, and then uncheck it.
- Then exit the dialog.
Original LabQuest
- Home > Control Panel > Viewer Setup
- Make sure the password box is unchecked.
- If it is unchecked, check it, change the password*, exit the dialog, then come back in, and then uncheck it.
- Then exit the dialog.
*It is not possible to remove the password from the LabQuest password entry dialog. This dialog must contain at least one character, otherwise the Done button is not active.
Note: Reconnecting your LabQuest to LabQuest Viewer 2.0 may be necessary if the password challenge is disabled while you are connected. See the LabQuest Viewer Help documentation for more information.
