A full spectrum is taken in order to identify the wavelength for analysis. If you already know the wavelength for analysis, then a full spectrum is not necessary. To set up data collection for modes other than full spectrum, follow the instructions below.

Spectral Analysis

From the opening screen, choose the appropriate experiment type.

LabQuest App

1. From the Meter screen, tap the Mode box.
2. Tap the Mode drop-down box and select the mode appropriate for your experiment
   ⚬ Beer’s law: Events with Entry (Beer’s law)
   ⚬ Kinetics: Time Based
3. Adjust the parameters for your selected mode, then tap OK.
4. Tap on the spectrometer’s meter box and choose Change Wavelength.
5. Type in the wavelength for your analysis, then tap OK.

Logger Pro

1. Click on Configure Spectrometer
2. Choose either Absorbance vs Time (kinetics) or Absorbance vs Concentration (Beer’s law).
3. Check the box corresponding to the wavelength for your analysis.
4. Click OK.
