Some Go Direct devices, such as Go Direct® Soil Moisture Sensor (GDX-SM) and Go Direct® Salinity Sensor (GDX-SAL) have a single on-board sensor, whereas Go Direct® Acceleration Sensor (GDX-ACC) has a 3-axis acceleration sensor with two acceleration ranges, plus an altimeter, a 3-axis gyroscope, and a sensor channel which measures the angle of the sensor’s long axis. Go Direct® Weather System (GDX-WTHR) has sensor channels used to measure ambient temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind chill, dew point, barometric pressure, and more. When configuring a remote data logging experiment, it is possible to collect data from one, or multiple, sensor channels.

Steps to configure multiple channels for a remote data logging experiment

  1. Launch Graphical Analysis and connect your Go Direct sensor.
For detailed instructions for connecting the sensor to the Graphical Analysis app, refer to Getting Started with Go Direct Sensors.
  1. Click or tap Sensor Setup, , to display the Sensors box.
  1. Click or tap SENSOR CHANNELS to select the sensor channels needed for your experiment.
  1. Start your remote data logging experiment.
For detailed instructions for configuring and starting a remote data logging experiment, refer to the document, Remote Data Logging: Trial Run
