This information pertains to the original LabQuest.
If you have LabQuest 2 or LabQuest 3, see this article.
When the LabQuest battery is drained, the clock can lose track of the current time. The time will also be wrong after applying a LabQuest update and the LabQuest will be set to Pacific Time when you first get the units from us in Portland, OR.
The easiest way to set the time, date, and timezone is to follow these steps:
1) Run Logger Pro or Logger Lite on your computer and verify that the system clock displays the correct date, time and time zone.
2) Connect the mini-USB cable to the LabQuest unit and the computer.
3) The computer will automatically set the time, date and time zone on the unit.
You can set the time and date in LabQuest manually by tapping on the home icon on the LabQuest screen, then selecting Control Panel, Time & Date. You can also see, but not set, the timezone from here; if you never use LabQuest with a computer the timezone is not important, the timezone is only important if you are collecting time of day measurements and importing it into Logger Pro.
