Connect the two calculators together using the unit-to-unit cable that came with the calculators.
On the Receiving calculator…
- Press [2nd][X,T,Ï´,n] (Link)
- Press the right arrow key to select Receive.
- Press [Enter] to see the message Waiting…
On the Sending calculator…
- Press [2nd][X,T,Ï´,n] (Link)
- Use the down arrow key to highlight the type of file you want to send (App, Program, List, etc.)
- If sending more than one file type, highlight 2:All⚊…
(This gives you access to all file types with no files selected.)
- If sending more than one file type, highlight 2:All⚊…
- Press [Enter] to view the SELECT screen.
- Press the down arrow key to highlight a file you want to transfer.
- Press [Enter] once to select the file.
- The triangle cursor (▶) appears to change to an arrow (➧).
- If you move the cursor away from the file, you see a square icon (â—¼) next to the file showing it has been selected.
- Note: pressing [Enter] while the cursor is on a selected file removes the selection.
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all desired files are selected.
- Once the files are selected, press the right arrow key to display the TRANSMIT menu.
- Press [Enter] to send the files.
During the Transfer…
- As they are transmitted, both units display the name and type of each file.
- When a file has the same name as one already on the receiving calculator, the transfer stops and a warning is shown on the receiving calculator.
- To continue the transfer, choose to Overwrite, Omit, or Skip that file.
- When transfer is complete, both calculators will say Done.
- If you are transferring an App (e.g., EasyData) you may see messages such as Garbage Collecting or Defragmenting. This is normal and must be completed before the transfer can continue.
- If you get a memory error, you do not have enough memory on the receiving calculator for the transfer to complete. If that happens, you must delete some of the files on the calculator. To do that…
- Press [2nd][+] (MEM), then choose 2:Mem Mgmt/Del….
- Choose 1:All then use the down arrow key to highlight a file you want to delete.
- Press [Del] to remove a file. (In most cases the file will be removed without requiring a confirmation.)
- Once enough memory has been freed up, repeat the transfer as noted above.
