This refers to units sold prior to July 2024. The Go Direct® Force Plate (GDX-FP) displays different sensor channels depending on the User Profile—Physics or Physiology—saved on that sensor. The sensor channels for each User Profile are shown below.

Physics*

  • Jump Height
  • X-axis Balance
  • Y-axis Balance

Changing the User Profile

Expand the section that matches the software you are using, then follow the instructions provided.

Access the Device Information

  1. Launch the Graphical Analysis app, then connect your sensor.
  2. Access the Device Information dialog box using one of the methods shown below.
  1. From the Sensor Setup dialog box, , click or tap the information icon, .
  1. Click or tap the Force sensor meter, then click or tap the information icon, .

Change the User Profile

  1. From the Device Information box, click or tap Advanced to access the User Profile.
  2. Click or tap the User Profile dropdown box and select your desired User Profile.
  3. Click or tap .

Note: The new profile is saved on the sensor and will be used until the profile is changed.

Disconnect then Reconnect the Force Plate

  1. You must disconnect, then reconnect the Force Plate in order for Graphical Analysis to show the sensor channels associated with the new profile.

Access the Device Details

  1. Turn on your LabQuest and choose New from the File menu.
  2. Connect your sensor to your LabQuest. (To connect the sensor via Bluetooth, choose Wireless Device Setup from the Sensors menu, then select Go Direct. Select your sensor from the list of available sensors.)
  3. Tap the Force meter and select Go Direct ▶ Device Details.

Change the User Profile

  1. Tap Advanced to access the Go Direct Device Attributes screen, where you can change the Force Plate’s User profile.
  1. Tap the User profile dropdown box and select your desired User Profile.
  2. Tap Apply to exit the Advanced Settings, then tap OK to exit the Device Details.

Note: The new profile is saved on the sensor and will be used until the profile is changed.

Disconnect then Reconnect the Force Plate

  1. You must disconnect, then reconnect the Force Plate in order for the LabQuest App to show the sensor channels associated with the new profile.

A firmware upgrade will be available in the future that will eliminate these separate channel profiles. This may not be available until 2025.
