This information pertains to the original LabQuest and LabQuest 2.

If you have a LabQuest 3, see this article.

LabQuest can be connected to a printer via a USB cable or via the network.

Network:

You either need LabQuest 2, or an original LabQuest and a Vernier Wi-Fi USB Adapter (WIFI-USB, discontinued). The printer either needs to located on the same subnet as the LabQuest devise with Bonjour enabled on the printer/network, or you need to know the IP/Name address of the printer and the LabQuest device needs to be on a subnet that can connect to the printer. Go into the Printer Dialog (Original LabQuest: Home|Control Panel|Printers, LabQuest 2: Home|Preferences|Printers) and choose “Scan for Printers” or “Enter IP Address” buttons.

USB:

You will need to use a standard USB-A to USB-B connector. This is the same cable used to connect USB printers to a computer. It is also the same cable used to connect a LabPro interface to a computer. This cable is pictured at:

Note: You cannot connect LabQuest to a printer using the mini-USB port on the LabQuest. The cable that comes with LabQuest is only for connecting LabQuest to a computer and cannot be used for printers.

Go into the Printer Dialog (Original LabQuest: Home|Control Panel|Printers, LabQuest 2: Home|Preferences|Printers) and the printer will be listed.
