The error: “ErrorType: ‘Nonetype’ object is not subscriptable” may be an indication that your Bluetooth radio on your device is too old to communicate correctly with the GoDirect python library or that you have an old version of the godirect library.

The best solution for this is to update your godirect library by entering the following code into a command line editor:

pip3 install godirect --upgrade
