LabVIEW Virtual Instrument Downloads for Go Direct® Sensors

Overview

Go Direct sensors* can be used with LabVIEW graphical programming via Bluetooth® wireless technology or USB. Integrate over 50 wireless sensors** into your LabVIEW project to acquire data or control your NI DAQ hardware.

* Go Direct spectrometers require their own LabVIEW virtual instruments.

** Mini GC, Polarimeter, Go Wireless Heart Rate, and Cyclic Voltammetry System are not supported.

 

Installation Instructions

Choose your version of LabVIEW to see installation instructions. Support for macOS is only available to LabVIEW 2020 or older.

Instructions

  1. Download the zip file Vernier_Win_LabVIEW_2023.zip.
  2. Extract the contents into a folder.
  3. Open the ReadMe.txt file.
  4. Follow the instructions to move the LabVIEW files into your LabVIEW 2022 directory.

Notes

  • The Go Direct LabVIEW examples can be run on 32-bit and 64-bit versions of LabVIEW on 64-bit computers.
  • The Windows OS must be Windows 10.
  • This download includes the LabVIEW files that support Go Direct sensors (GDX), SensorDAQ (Windows only), LabQuest devices, and Go! Devices.

  1. Download the zip file vernier_labview.2016-2018.zip.
  2. Open the download and extract the installer.
  3. Run the installer.

macOS (support for LabVIEW 2018 only)

  1. Download the zip file Vernier_Mac_LabVIEW_2018_and_Newer.zip.
  2. Extract the contents into a folder.
  3. Open the ReadMe.txt file.
  4. Follow the instructions to move the LabVIEW files into your LabVIEW 2018 directory.

Notes

  • The Windows installer supports the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of LabVIEW 2016—2018 on 64-bit computers.
  • Windows OS must be Windows 10.
  • This download includes the LabVIEW files that support Go Direct sensors (GDX), SensorDAQ (Windows only), LabQuest devices, and Go! Devices.

Test Your Go Direct Sensor in LabVIEW

  1. Start LabVIEW.
  2. Go to National Instruments\LabVIEW 20xx\examples\Vernier\GDX.
  3. Browse the example VIs for the GDX (Go Direct) sensors.
