TI-Navigator is a system that creates a wireless network of TI-Nspire CX handhelds. This system (which does not include the handhelds) is controlled by your teacher computer. From the software you can view all handhelds screens to ensure your students are on task and keeping up with your instruction. You can use the software to allow students to present what is on their handheld right from their seat. And, you can use the system to transfer files between your computer and the student handhelds.
The Navigator system consists of an access point that connects to your computer (for creating the wireless network), wireless adapters that attach to TI-Nspire CX, TI-Nspire CX II, TI-Nspire CX CAS, and TI-Nspire CX II CAS handhelds for use with the network. The TI-Nspire CX Premium Teacher Software is the included software that controls the network. The software includes templates for making assessment files that can be transferred to the students. The students interact with the files and then you can collect and grade the files automatically. This turns the TI-Nspire handhelds into an advanced clicker system using the handheld as the input device.
The maximum number of handhelds that can be used with a single TI-Navigator system is 40. TI sells a 30-user system with ADD-ON wireless adapters that can be purchased to make up to a 40-user system if needed. TI also sells a 10-user system that you can use for smaller class sizes.
