On some, not all, Windows 10 computers, Graphical Analysis and Spectral Analysis won’t launch if there is no internet connection. The symptom is double-clicking on the app giving a brief spinner from Windows, then nothing.
This seems to be happening when Windows gives no response to a network query from Graphical Analysis (as opposed to indicating there is not a connection).
This appears to affect only the 1809 build of Windows 10. Applying all updates available as of February 2019 to build 1809 appears to resolve the issue. Versions of Graphical Analysis and Spectral Analysis greater than 4.8 will also make this error less likely.
A workaround is to enable a loopback adapter in Windows. Follow these instructions:
