Yes, that is possible. The LabVIEW installers found on the LabVIEW Downloads page, place the correct drivers, menu items, and example folders into an existing installation of LabVIEW, so that LabVIEW users can use Vernier sensors and interfaces in their VIs.

When the installer year lags behind your version of LabVIEW it will create a folder in the same path as the LabVIEW software, but in a folder named for the latest year the installer recognizes. You will need to find those files and move them to your new LabVIEW installation folders as follows:

1. A folder called “Vernier” into the LabVIEW 20xxexamples directory.
2. Folders called “Vernier Go”, “Vernier LabQuest”, and “Vernier SensorDAQ” into the LabVIEW 20xxmenusCategories directory.
3. A folder called “Vernier” into the LabVIEW 20xxvi.lib directory
(Where “xx” refers to the year version of the existing LabVIEW installation)

Note: If you are using SensorDAQ, you must have the NI’s DAQmx software and driver installed prior to running any example VIs using our sensors.

Note: If you are using LabQuest, you must have the LabQuest driver installed prior to running the example VIs. This driver is installed with our Logger Pro and Graphical Analysis or Graphical Analysis Pro apps, as well as with our LabVIEW installer. The LabQuest drivers are found in the Program Files (x86, if 64-bit machine)Common FilesVernier Software folder.
