This document has information for device drivers that work with older versions of Logger Pro. If you are using a Logger Pro version 3.11 or newer with LabQuest Mini or original LabQuest, or Logger Pro 3.12 or newer with LabPro see:

Logger Pro relies on USB device drivers to communicate with the LabPro, LabQuest, or LabQuest Mini on Windows.

Are the LabQuest 2 or LabQuest 3 device drivers installed correctly?
If the device drivers are not installed properly by the regular Logger Pro installer, the first solution is always to remove Logger Pro and re-install with a Vernier installer. The USB driver installation is not simple, and the installer for Logger Pro has been tested extensively on multiple combinations of hardware, software, and operating systems.
On some computers, the installer fails to completely install the driver. Sometimes the driver can still be successfully installed manually.
Manual installation instructions for Windows Vista, 7, and 8:
-Go to the Device Manager.
-Click over any item within the Device Manager list.
-Choose the Action menu and choose “Add legacy hardware.”
-Click Next.
-Click “Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced)” and click Next.
-Choose “Show All Devices” and click Next.
-Click the “Have Disk…” button.
-Click Browse and direct it to:
32bit: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Vernier Software\LabPro driver\windrvr6.inf
64bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Vernier Software\LabPro 64 driver\VSTwindrvr6.inf
-Click OK.
It should list Manufacturer of “Jungo” or “VSTJungo” and Model of “WinDriver” or “VSTWinDriver”.
-Click Next twice.
After the files copy, it should prompt “The following
hardware was installed: WinDriver [VSTWinDriver] Windows has finished installing the
software for this device.”
-Click Finish.
Manual installation instructions for Windows XP:
Go to the Windows Control Panel.
-Choose Add Hardware (click “Switch to Category View” in the upper left when this option is not available).
-Click Next to proceed to the welcome screen.
-After a quick search is completed, click “Yes, I have already connected the hardware” and click Next.
-Scroll to the bottom of the list and select “Add a new hardware device” and click Next.
-Click “Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced)” and click Next.
-Select “Show all Devices” and click Next.
Note: It will search for a while and may appear frozen. Allow a few minutes (especially on older machines) for the next list options to populate.
-Don’t select anything; instead, choose “Have Disk”.
-Click “Browse”, and choose the file “C:\Program Files\Common Files\Vernier Software\LabPro driver\windrvr6.inf”, open it and click OK.
It should list Manufacturer of “Jungo” and Model of “WinDriver”.
-Click Next twice.
After the files quickly copy, it should prompt “The following hardware was installed: WinDriver Windows has finished installing the software for this device.”
-Click Finish.
If these steps do not work, the computer may be incompatible with 3rd party drivers in general:

However, you may have other options to try, but the only solution may be to use a regular version of Windows.
