Introduction
Pressure (P), volume (V), temperature (T), and number of molecules (n) are variables encountered in the study of gases. Increasing temperature or increasing the amount of gas will increase pressure. Decreasing volume, in contrast, increases pressure. In this contest, you will use a clean, dry container and what you have learned about gases in an attempt to produce the highest pressure. Pressure will be measured using a computer-interfaced pressure sensor.
