LabVIEW Virtual Instrument Downloads for SensorDAQ Interface

Overview

SensorDAQ is an interface designed by National Instruments and Vernier that works with over 80 Vernier sensors. SensorDAQ is perfect for teaching NI LabVIEW or for building sensor-controlled student projects using NI LabVIEW software.

Installation Instructions

Choose your version of LabVIEW to see installation instructions.

  1. Download the zip file Vernier_Win_LabVIEW_2023.zip.
  2. Extract the contents into a folder.
  3. Open the ReadMe.txt file.
  4. Follow the instructions to move the LabVIEW files into your LabVIEW 2023 directory.

Notes

  • The examples can be run on 32-bit and 64-bit versions of LabVIEW on 64-bit computers.
  • This download includes the LabVIEW files that support Go Direct sensors (GDX), SensorDAQ (Windows only), LabQuest devices, and Go! Devices.
  1. Download the zip file Vernier_Win_LabVIEW_2022.zip.
  2. Extract the contents into a folder.

  2. Unzip/Extract the download.
  3. Open the installer file to install the LabVIEW files.

Notes

  • Supports the 32-bit version of LabVIEW 2009 through 2015 (running on either 32-bit or 64-bit computers).
  • Includes the LabVIEW files for the SensorDAQ, LabQuest interfaces, and Go! Devices.

Test Your SensorDAQ in LabVIEW

  1. Connect your SensorDAQ to the computer with a USB cable.
  2. Start LabVIEW.
  3. Open a Blank VI.
  4. Go to the block diagram by choosing Show Block Diagram from the Windows menu.
  5. Click and drag the Analog Express VI from the Vernier SensorDAQ palette to the block diagram workspace.
  6. Plug an analog sensor into the interface and confirm the reading.
  7. Close the Analog Express VI.
  8. Go to National Instruments\LabVIEW 20xx\examples\Vernier.
  9. Browse the example VIs.
